Start with a six-night stay in Sarawak's capital city of Kuching. A series of day trips introduce you to the city's varied highlights and surroundings. Visit the Sarawak Museum, which houses one of the finest ethnographic collections in Asia, and Fort Margherita, a creation of "Rajah Brooke." Explore the Semenggoh Wildlife Center and observe orangutans, hornbills, gibbons, and other animals. Travel to Anah Rais, a Bidayuh village where you will experience Dayak culture. Also visit Bako National Park, with rich wildlife and wonderful forest walks. Spend a morning at the Fairy Cave. Fly to Kota Kinabalu, your base for exploring both Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, and Kota Kinabalu National Park. Fly to Sandakan to visit Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary.! Fly back to Kota Kinabalu.
