Our Heritage & Story
Our founder, Ken Fish, established Absolute Asia in 1989. We were the first U.S.-based company to bring Americans to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand, and over the years we've expanded into Singapore, Bali, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and beyond. This pioneering spirit has stayed with us as we've ventured into unexplored corners of the globe and redefined luxury travel by making every journey completely personal. Ken has dedicated his life to crafting unique experiences for travelers who want to discover the staggering, diverse beauty of the world and he's built a team that shares his passion for discovery and the joy of travel. Under Ken's leadership, Absolute Asia grew into a multi-award-winning company that has pioneered luxury travel with a purpose. After the challenges of the COVID era, Ken stepped back from day-to-day operations, and the business was acquired by My Way Travel – a team equally committed to personalized service and authentic cultural experiences. My Way Travel now manages the Absolute Asia brand and domain, infusing our original vision with fresh energy and innovative local expertise. The same spirit of exploration and dedication to exceptional, tailor-made journeys lives on only now with the added strength and regional insight of My Way Travel behind it.
