Where to Go and What to See in China
China can seem quite intimidatingly massive, but with its extraordinary diversity, it’s surprisingly easy to get a taste of a lot of it all in one trip! Our travel experts have sipped tea with giant pandas in Chengdu and sunbathed on the tropical beaches of Hainan Island, and they are ready to help you create your ideal journey.
A lot of trips to China begin in China’s capital city, Beijing; a fun city that brings the ancient past together with the 21st century. It is a city where you can get lost in a maze of winding, traditional hutongs (historic alleyways) that feel as though they have been preserved in time, and moments later stand in the architectural marvels of the futuristic Olympic Park, just one magnificent illustration of the incredible advancement of the nation.
Once you are finished with the city, head South to Guangxi province where you will begin your adventures from the hub of Guilin where the region’s fairy-tale limestone peaks and the culture of its minority villages await you. Alternatively, take a leisurely Yangtze River cruise and float through the massive cliffs and other-worldly, misty peaks of the Three Gorges.
